Hi, I'm Denis, a French creative technologist in London. A developer with a designer's eye, I turn ambitious ideas into websites and experiences that work beautifully.
I've spent more than 13 years freelancing with digital agencies, branding studios and clients large and small. I studied sensory web design and online creation strategies, which taught me to think about the whole project: how the design works, what the content needs and what we can do with the technology.
Sometimes I take a design and build it.
Sometimes I get involved earlier, exploring ideas, giving technical advice and helping the team figure out how to make things happen.
I work closely with designers. I understand the thinking behind a layout and can work out the details: a missing component, a smaller screen or an interaction we haven’t discussed yet. Designers can push their ideas further without having to specify every last pixel.
I build for agencies, studios and brands, from first idea to launch.
I also make the less ordinary: interactive touchscreens, immersive stories, data visualisations, small games and prototypes. Some of my experiments live in the Lab ↗.
And I work directly with news organisations including and the , building bespoke articles and rich media experiences.
Different projects need different tools. I help choose what works best and take care of the parts you don't see: accessibility, performance, optimisation and SEO.
I can also advise on hosting and handle staging, deployment and maintenance. Just the development, or the whole technical side: whatever the project needs.
I'm AI-augmented. I use AI tools every day to prototype faster, explore more ideas and handle the repetitive work, so more of my time goes into the details that matter. The judgment and the craft are still mine.
I love making things that make people stop for a moment. A beautiful website, an interaction, a data visualisation or a small detail that makes you wonder how it was built. I enjoy a challenge, and I love subtle animation that brings a design to life.
